Deep Meditations
Deep Meditations is a sensory journey into the machine's understanding of human emotion, ritual, and transcendence. Created by Memo Akten, the work explores how artificial neural networks interpret abstract concepts like love, faith, and spirituality—reconstructing visual and sonic experiences from data-driven dreams.

The visuals are generated by a neural network trained on publicly shared images labeled “everything.” These datasets, filtered through themes such as ritual or belief, are reimagined into a flowing meditation of light and texture—where human experience is reflected through machine perception.
Accompanying the visuals is a soundscape generated by a separate neural network trained on religious chants, prayers, and spiritual music from YouTube. The result is an evocative, layered experience that feels both intimate and alien.

Produced by XTOPIA IMMERSIVE and presented at Hope Alkazar, Deep Meditations offers a poetic and embodied reflection on the convergence of machine logic and emotional consciousness.
