‘In the Gap of Data World' : Connectedness
Didem Yalınay was chosen as an emerging artist and awarded with an artist in residency program in Paris by collaboration of Le Cube and Cite Internationale des Arts. She is working on a generative public art project named "In the Gap of Data World". This long term project is in the process of development in two cities Paris and Istanbul in the aim of bringing forth the true values of our connectedness. This workshop is a call to create together and working on the power of encounters. Workshop aims to create collaboration with the participants in the development process of the project. (Please note that Didem Yalınay will make a presentation before the workshop.)
Didem Yalınay works interdisciplinary in academy and arts. Her field of study is generative art. Her focus is to create generative environments. She is currently studying on her PhD in Communication Sciences at Istanbul Bilgi University and gives lectures on narrative at Gazi University. She has considerable experience in acting for TV serials, movies and writing movie scripts.
Before she was Channel Director for Discovery Channel, she launched her own consultancy company in cultural entrepreneurship for corporations. She currently organises workshops and creates generative artworks. Recently was chosen as an emerging artist and awarded with an artist in residency program in Paris by two institutions Le Cube and Cité Internationale des Arts in collaboration. She is working on a long term generative public art project based in two cities Paris and İstanbul.
Prerequisite:
To be involved in coding, creative coding, or computation and design. Will to engage generative art practices in collaboration.
