Circle Horn & Superradience

January 24, 2025

Circle Horn IV unfolded as a live, multisensory improvisational performance embedded within Superradiance—the immersive installation by Memo Akten & Katie Peyton Hofstadter. This unique edition transformed the Superradiance space into a living, breathing performance field—where sound, movement, and presence resonated with the installation’s deeper themes.

Led by groundbreaking trumpet artist Can Ömer Uygan, the performance brought together poet Dündar Hızal, electronic sound artist Karma Whiff, and choreographers & dancers TuÄŸçe Göncü and Berk Can Ceylan. Together, they responded in real time to the ambient, embodied signals of the Superradiance environment—layering live poetry, sound textures, and physical movement over the AI-driven installation.

Staged inside the historic Alkazar cinema’s digital experience space, Circle Horn IV dissolved the boundaries between artist and audience. Visitors were not spectators, but participants—immersed in an unfolding improvisational ritual of body, sound, and shared breath.

The performance served as a living extension of Superradiance—activating its themes of interconnectedness, sensory intuition, and more-than-human presence through live, collective embodiment.
