Selçuk Artut's specially designed, brand-new experience, "Motifs ad Infinitum:  Remediations in Time" will continue to be exhibited at Beyoğlu Hope Alkazar until May.

Artut offers content in this edition that is specially curated for an inclusive environment, based on sound and visual materials, and open to the interactions of participants.

Geometric patterns are sometimes reflections of an order observed in nature, and at other times they are the abstract results of an intuitive process brought about by different techniques. Geometric patterns that could be achieved with a simple compass and ruler hundreds of years ago and still today, unveil a captivating world in their visual compositions, with complex structures at different levels and their perfect orders.

The dynamic patterns in the series of works produced by Artut, which are named Geomart-ut, stem from pattern examples found in significant architectural structures with historical significance, spanning a geography from the Eşrefoğlu Mosque in Beyşehir to the Yavuz Sultan Selim Mosque in Istanbul, from the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis in Uzbekistan to the Alhambra Palace, and from the Al-Aqsa Mosque to the ancient city of Perge. In the work titled Geomart-ut, Artut attempts to present a transformation where simple geometric forms can gain movement and evolve into complex structures in a perception world where meaning takes the breath away from expression.

Artut aims to make visible the obscured connections between the "Art of Geometry" of the past and today's "Media Art" and to rebuild the culturally significant bridges whose traces have been erased. Artut believes that art history should be approached as a holistic process rather than through divisive perspectives such as Old-New or East-West. Consequently, art should be regarded as a fluid value where various cultures are in continuous interaction over time.

For the inclusive environment, Artut has curated content that will be open to the interactions of participants in this series, based on sound and video materials specifically designed for the purpose.
